Many people feel nervous and anxious when attending the dentist and here at Carlton Dental Care we offer services that make our patients feel more calm and relaxed.
If a patient is nervous we can offer a treatment called intravenous sedation. This is sedation through an injection into your hand or arm.
What is intravenous sedation?
With intravenous sedation the patient will not be asleep but will simply be more calm and relaxed throughout the dental treatment. Patients are still able to talk and cooperate throughout their treatment but in most cases patients wont remember much of what happened.
What treatments can I have with intravenous sedation?
Intravenous sedation can been used when having treatments such as fillings and extractions to make patients who are particularly nervous feel more relaxed.
